Health Empowering Humanity recognizes the need to facilitate research, in the spirit of collaboration, to further the understanding of conditions preferentially afflicting the medically underserved. We wish to demonstrate that innovative technologies and biomedical advances can offer powerful solutions in resource-poor settings. Simultaneously, we seek to develop a model for sustainable, community-based health care, to be shared with others working toward similar goals and replicated in other parts of the developing world.
