Since opening the door to our temporary clinic held in a small three-room tin-roof house in Gatineau in August 2007, our partners on the ground have seen over 1,400 patients in twice-weekly clinic sessions. Our patients are representative of 52 localities and present with a wide variety of illnesses. During their visits, each patient has the chance to learn about their illness, its possible causes, methods of treatment, and preventative strategies for the future.
